For holiday cards, we suggest you have them to the OperationPAL PO Box about 3 weeks prior to assure timely delivery to the Marines and Corpsmen. However, these families’ lives have been turned upside down and many tell us they never know what day it is. If you are running late or have an event planned closer to the holiday, please send what you create, even if it’s past the 3 week suggestion. Your wishes will still be delivered and appreciated.
We encourage children in schools, scouting organizations and churches to write frequently. Groups of cards and letters from children are a sure way to brighten the day for these young men and women, and children will enjoy the opportunity to correspond or share drawings frequently.
Please do not request return mail from him/her. Due to the nature of illness and injury and the volume of mail, the program participants may not be able to write back to your group. OperationPAL volunteers acknowledge batches from school groups and organizations.
