We're happy to welcome you to the first edition of Operation PAL™ News.
Operation PAL™ (Prayers and Letters) is an outreach program of MarineParents.com, Inc. and has been operating since 2006. Since that time, the public has sent 30,000 cards and letters to over 100 wounded and ill Marines and Corpsmen whose families requested support.
With this brand new publication, we will provide the latest additions and removals from our list of names, answer commonly asked questions, feature specific Marines and Corpsmen participating in the program and include short participant updates. Each edition will contain a different question or focus.
Operation PAL™ News is the perfect opportunity to find answers to your questions, stay up-to-date with the program and its participants, and enjoy reading about the difference we make working together toward a common and important goal.

How long is a Marine or Corpsman on the Operation PAL™ list?
Commonly Asked Questions
The Marines and Corpsmen on our list are severely wounded or ill and their recoveries can take years.
Participants stay on the list as long as the cards and letters bring much-needed encouragement; the family informs us when they feel it's time to be removed.
Here's an excerpt from a Mom who just let us know it's time for her son to come off the list:
"You will never know how much the sweet kind cards have lifted our spirits. The entire family appreciated each and every one of them soooo much. In those very dark days the cards made us feel like we were not alone in our struggles. So since he is doing well now we feel the support can be better used. Please continue the wonderful work your organization does and help some family more in need than us. The love and kindness you have shown us will always be remembered and appreciated. It is hard to believe three years have passed since that horrible phone call.... I just don't know how we could have gotten through it all without family, friends, our faith, and people like you. Thank you so very much for all your support."
Thank you so very much for remembering our wounded and ill warriors when you write and pray. Your kindness is most appreciated.
