LCpl. Patrick was injured in Afghanistan last month by an explosion. I talked to his Dad and he says he's doing ok. He's had reconstructive jaw surgery, shrapnel removed and a finger re-attached, but he is progressing.
Patrick is married and has two young children. Let them know they are not alone in this battle for recovery.
Dad is planning on helping others in OperationPAL and is very considerate of those who have been wounded. OohRah to the whole family.
Update 11/11/2009 Dad reports that Patrick is doing fine and is talking now. He is also walking ok, with a little bit of a limp. Patrick has a lot of therapy ahead of him. His family is grateful that he is doing better and is grateful for your support. Please remember to keep this family in your prayers and send words of encouragement out to them.
Update: November 20, 2009 Patrick's Dad sent the photo you see of Patrick's Purple Heart ceremony. It was presented by General James T. Conway - Commandant of the United States Marine Corps.
Update: 2/21/2010 Patrick's family recently wrote that he is doing better and is recovering. Your continued prayers, cards, and letters help support this family tremendously. They are grateful for your compassion.
