Operation PAL™ Valentine's day shipping dates and Idea
A quick a easy way to show our wounded you are thinking of them is to make a current list of the ill and wounded who wish to receive cards of support (found here: http://www.operationpal.com/list.asp ) and go buy a box (or several) of Valentines.
For the "To" put a different Marine's name on each one and put them all back in the box. Send them in to school and let a class (or two or three) write a short "thank you" or "get better" and sign their name (no last names)and age. Then send them all in one big envelope to PO Box 18036, Jacksonville, FL 32229.
The 'room Mom' who lives near me says "It's a great short project and the teachers and kids love to do it." It's easy and it brightens the day of our recipients......a win-win situation all around.
NOTE:Please check the list often as we add or delete names as soon as we become aware of a change. (Example: LCpl Steven 2/7 Fox Co. was just removed. He and his family are ready to move on, wish us to write to those more in need and thank us for being there when they needed us most.)
Remember, mail early to have them to us by Feb 1 so the cards and letters are received in time for sorting, forwarding and timely arrival. Thank you!
